BUILDING EXTENSION AND REFURBISHMENT

Revised Building Project

Our church vision is to see lives changed for Christ. We recognise that only God can change lives, but we believe we have been called as co-workers with Christ to achieve this vision by touching LIVES with the love of Jesus, being CHANGED into whole-life disciples of Christ and worship which is first and foremost FOR CHRIST.

We believe we can TOUCH LIVES, by ”FBC becoming a place to which the community will naturally want to come throughout the week”. We want FBC to become a “Hub for the Community”, offering a range of relevant community services, in a visitor friendly, welcoming building with Cafe Oasis at the  centre providing a place of refreshment and peace.
We are undertaking a Revised Building Project whose aims are to provide:
·          Improved Welcome
·          Cafe Oasis – a place of refreshment and peace
·          Facilities for Counselling and Prayer
·          New Multi-purpose room - to replace the Lounge and provide extra facilities
·          Kitchen re-fit
·          Refurbishment
Please pray for God’s guidance and provision as we seek to provide facilities that will enable us to TOUCH MORE LIVES with the love of Jesus.

LATEST NEWS

Allen Associates have produced a conceptual design for the FBC Building programme which was presented at the Church Meeting on the 6th July. The proposal has been received with some excitement as it captures our key vision for making our buildings visitor friendly, a key element of which is Cafe Oasis which we believe will be a place of rest and refreshment, an Oasis at the heart of our church buildings. The proposal also enables us to make best use of our facilities, equips new and existing ministries, together with necessary refurbishments and decoration. The estimated cost is £700,000.

ITEMS FOR PRAYER

Please pray for:
  • God to guide the Ministry Team as they lead the Building project
  • Please pray that we will have wisdom as we develop this design proposal which we believe will enable us to touch more lives for Christ.
  • God to guide us as a church as we seek the way forward
  • That each member will be ready to help as God has equipped and enabled them.

Next Steps:

We now want to take this design and work with Church Group leaders to produce a more detailed proposal which will then be presented to the church for formal approval. We anticipate this process will take 2-4 months.

So, if you are a Church Group Leader, please provide your feedback to Mark Daly via email, phone or in person by August 19th. If you are a member of a Church Group, please provide your feedback to your group leader so they have visibility of all feedback that relates to their group.

If you want to provide feedback from an individual perspective, please do so, as before, to Mark Daly via email (markd@fbc.org.uk), phone or in person.

DEADLINE FOR ALL FEEDBACK IS AUGUST 19TH.

We will review all feedback and liaise with Church Group leaders and individuals as required.
