youth groups
You don't have to be a Christian or come to our services to be part of a youth group at FBC.  If you just want to make new friends or get a handle on life then come and join us.  If you think that church is like the  Vicar of Dibley  you might be a bit surprised at what we get up to at FBC.  We don't have a choir and an organ.  Our minister doesn't wear "vestments" - you can come and check out whether he wears funny clothes!

Our groups normally only meet during term time so you might want to check the group is happening before you just turn up.

YoYo (11-14's)

Have fun and discuss Christian issues at YoYo. We play games, watch movie clips and have a laugh on a Sunday morning.

Sunday mornings, 10.30-11.45am.

Zoo (14-18's)

Kick back, watch a movie and discuss the issues it raises, eat Pringles and chat with your mates. Christianity isn’t so boring after all!

Sunday evenings, after church

Cafe Crunch (Years 7 - 9)

Hard to describe what goes on!  Come and see for yourself. What else is there to do on Tuesday evenings?

Tuesdays, 7:00pm - 8:30pm

Cell Groups (14-18's)

The Cell groups are about going that little bit further with God; we have a bit of bible study, pray together and eat doughnuts! All with the aim of understanding God that little bit better.

Thursdays, 7.30-9.30pm.
And the rest!
As well as the regular stuff there's youth services led by - you guessed - the youth!  Including the youth band (can we get a muffler for those drums!).

In the summer they're usually off to Soul Survivor and earlier in the year its Sping Harvest.

Some of the musical youth also get off to Worship Central from time to time.
Boring bits for old folk to read
Young people are an important part of life here at FBC.  For 7 years we have funded a youth and schools worker who is supported by a dedicated team on volunteers from the church.  Rachel, our current youth and schools worker, works closely with Camberley Youth for Christ (CYFC) and youth workers from other churches.

We encourage our youth to play their part in the life of the church and many of them are involved in helping with our children's work and are part of our worship bands.  Some of our older youth have been baptised and become church members at their request.  3 times a year our evening service is taken by our youth.

You can find Laura, one of our former young people, in Collective East Anglia.
