The English Language and Support Group is to help people in the community for whom English is not their first language. We aim to provide people with friendship and support, as well as use a structured teaching approach to help improve English language skills. There is also an opportunity to learn about British culture and lifestyle.

We meet on Monday mornings during term-time from 11am until 12.30pm. We start with half an hour of chatting over tea or coffee and doing some simple group activity. At 11.30am we split into several English Language classes, with each class suiting a different level of ability.

We do not make any charge for attending this group.

We have students attending from many different countries and cultures and with a great range of abilities. New students are therefore always very welcome to join us whatever their nationality, culture or English language ability.
