This group was formed to help people in the community for whom English is not their first language. We aim to help with practical advice about living in this country, to give help with filling in forms, or writing letters, as well as teaching spoken and written English.
We meet on Monday mornings during term-time, at 11am until 12.30pm. We start with half an hour of chatting over tea or coffee, and doing some simple group activity. At 11.30am we split into English Language classes which cater for students who are at different levels of ability.
We do not make any charge for this group.
We have students from many different countries, with a great range of abilities, so everyone is welcome.
