Men @ FBC Our Plans & Goals

The Mission

The Objectives The Why The Measure
To Introduce Every Man in GU16 to Jesus Christ To do as Jesus commanded us Count the number of men who are invited and attend events organised by FBC. We will see men saved!

The Approach

The Objectives The Why The Measure
To adopt the 4 level Evangelism’ model described used by CVM and develop it for FBC  This is the best model available to us  An upto date plan of events exists and covers the next 18 months
To work with like minded groups in other local churches  To share successful ideas and limited resources  Joint events in shared plans and evidence of sharing of ideas and resources
To galvanise men in outreach within FBC, especially men who are not fully engaged with FBC activities - To share the work
- To release resource
- To use the gifts and skills we have
- To reach a wider pool of NYBS
Increasing % of men who attend FBC regularly and are engaged in attending and inviting others to outreach events

Ground Rules

  • Will be part of FBC’s Evangelism Plan
  • It is primarily about Outreach, not Fellowship
  • Recognise that is long-term, long-haul and will involve hard work
  • Team led, releasing men to work
  • Elder oversight
  • Aim to be financially neutral, no exclusions through cost constraints & good quality
  • Evangelism training to be provided (friendship evangelism and proclamation)
  • Target all ages, 18 - 80
  • Incorporate existing isolated events and initiatives (curry nights, golf days)

Next Steps

  • Organise men’s breakfast with CVM speaker. Invite all men within FBC.  DONE
  • Invite men to form initial team.
  • Outline initiative to diaconate and members meeting.
  • Arrange an initial couple of level 1 events (possibly Rugby at Reading and Cycling locally), organise working groups, involve others
