What's happening in the UK?
Is anyone in the 18 - 30 age group actually part of a church?  Does the church take this group seriously?
Check out 2030Vision and Tribal Generation.

Have a good look around the resources available at Tribal Generation.  Some great stuff - love the Alien Song and what about that penguin!

Past Programmes
2007

From January to March we looked at the New Testament book of Ephesians and what it has to say to us today.   We took some breaks to share in communion and prayer ministry and to be joined by the Pastor and Elders as they listened to how we saw the vision of the church being implemented.  Just before Easter we looked at what the bible has to say about marriage, sex and homosexuality.

From April to August we looked at topics such as Discipleship, Prayer, Fasting, Sharing your faith and Worship.  We met with the Pastor to hear about the future vision for the church, and the 3 year goals.

At the start of September, SafariCell led the evening service, where we enjoyed stories, chat and songs from  with special guest Sue Rinaldi.  Sue spoke to us about 2030vision under the heading If life begins at 40, what's all this other stuff you have to deal with beforehand?

2006

From October through to December we looked in the Bible at the book of James to see how it is relevant to us today.  James seems to have a lot to say about how we handle wealth and in global terms we are all very wealthy!  Mixed in with this we did some planning for the service we are leading on 7 January.

In September we took a look at tattoos from a Christian perspective.  Want to know more?  Then check out the LICC site

We also heard from Professor Tony Campolo on "Living Life to the Nth Degree".  You can find this and more of his messages on his website.

Just before this we "Grilled the Pasta" which seemed popular.  Hopefully he has recoved from the experience!  Thanks Mark.

In the summer we looked at material based on the best selling book, The Purpose Driven Life.

We covered:

  • What on earth am I here for?
  • You were planned for God's pleasure
  • You were formed for God's family
  • You were created to become like Jesus
  • You were shaped for serving God
  • You were made for a mission
