About Us

Frimley Baptist Church is a Christian community of about 250 adults plus children and young people. Although 'Baptist' is in our title, we see ourselves primarily as a church for our local community and for people of all Christian backgrounds and of none. We work together with the churches in the local area (churches@GU16) to support the community and this group holds joint events throughout the year.

Our sense of purpose is expressed in our strap-line 'where Jesus is changing lives'.  For this to be the case, we believe we have been called to focus on three things:

Authentic Discipleship - Learning together what it means to love God and follow Jesus on a daily basis
Expectant Worship - Encountering God in a variety of gatherings for worship where we are inspired to live for Christ
Community Engagement - Engaging with the community in and beyond the church to touch lives with the love of Christ

Please use the above links to see how we are seeking to obey the Lord in these areas, and for the values we seek to hold to as we do so.

If you are new to Christianity, then we offer a number of courses and opportunities to find out more such as the Alpha Course. Please look through this website for details of what is currently being offered. Our Christianity page is particularly recommended.

There are groups for every age and stage of life, including our all-important Life Groups. We hope that you will come and join us on a Sunday sometime soon so that we can get to know you personally.

We have a passion to be involved in local life in and around Frimley. Many of our people work within the immediate area in offices, schools and at Frimley Park Hospital. We also particularly encourage those who serve the community voluntarily in roles such as School Governors. As a church we participate in a number of events such as the Frimley Green Carnival, as well as putting on functions and events, at the church, to which anyone and everyone is invited - such as our free Summer BBQ, our annual outdoor Christmas Nativity production, and our Community Café.

Our desire is that we might build relationships with those around us. We hope that they might sense the reality of God for themselves and receive a touch of His love.

As part of our evangelism programme, we have a small team who attend local car boot sales, rigging their gazebo, chatting and praying for passers-by.
