Welcome 4

New to Church?

Welcome!  Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about Frimley Baptist Church.

The Church is involved in many activities, for all ages, some on a Sunday and many in the week. All these activities are explained in more detail under the "What's On" pages.

If you are wondering what would happen if you visited us on a Sunday, here's some information that we hope you will find helpful.

Where and when does the church meet?

We meet at: Frimley Baptist Church, Balmoral Drive, Frimley GU16 9AR.
On Sundays we meet at 10:30 am in the building as well as live streaming the service over YouTube. The live stream and all previous services can be viewed by clicking the "FBC Live" icon.

On the first and third Sunday of the month we also hold a half an hour, early morning communion service from 9.00 am - 9.30 am.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go or provide you with more information to take away.

At our main service there will be some singing (which you can join in with or not!), prayer, a Bible reading, and a talk based on a Bible passage or theme from the Bible. The words of the songs, Bible reading and visual aids during the talk are all projected onto the wall for easy viewing. A weekly produced notice sheet is also available giving details of the various events taking place during the week and news.

What happens for the children at church?

During our Sunday Morning Services (except in August), we run 'children's church' alongside the morning service to which all young people (ages 0-14) are welcome.  Children stay with their parents for the start of the service and then someone will announce when the children go to their groups.  You will need to go with your children to register them if it is your first time with us. Occasionally some Sundays, we'll have an "All age service" where adults and children stay together to worship, learn and usually laugh a lot! A separate room with toys and crafts for the littluns will be available if the parents/guardians wish to do so. We just ask the parent/guardian to stay with their children throughout the "All age service".

Our Sunday morning service is LIVE streamed over YouTube and parents/guardians of children under 18 are responsible for ensuring their children are not on camera, if they do not wish them to be.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups for you under What's On.

Is there a dress code?

No!  Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.  When worshipping with us, the decision to wear a face mask or socially distance is the personal choice of the individual.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!  You are free simply to observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

If you would like to keep in touch with what's happening at FBC, please don't forget to complete your details in the welcome leaflet, found in the church foyer and drop it off at the church office.

I have more questions. How can I get in touch and ask them?

Our About Us page has more information about the church.  Please feel free to browse around and if you have any queries, please don't hesitate to contact us.
